The researchers of mobile threats from Kaspersky Lab draw attention to the disturbing trend and the almost two-fold increase in the number of attacks in the last year. It’s about infecting smarfons with malware, which for cheaters is becoming more and more profitable – mobile devices are finally being used more and more professionally and to manage companies, so the potential profit from an effective attack is greater.
According to specialists, the number of infected devices is growing rapidly. In 2017, just over 66 million attacks were detected using mobile malware, but in 2018 this number was already over 115 million. I am talking about an almost two-fold increase. Interestingly, this is a result that was obtained despite the smaller number of malicious programs recorded. As Kaspersky Lab points out, individual threats are of ever better quality and thanks to this they are successfully infecting a larger number of devices.
